And so it begins…

My bags are packed, my passport is in hand I am ready to go. Are you? 3 weeks of travel, new experiences, new places and new people lay ahead of me.

I have always been a wanderlust and traveling is buried deep in my soul.  When I had the opportunity to combine my passion for cultural immersion with travelling I jumped in head first.  I will spend 3 weeks roaming across the United States with 40 teenagers and adult mentors.  I will be embarking on the US Embassy Youth Ambassador Program as an Adult Mentor.  This program will take me to Brattleboro Vermont, Seattle Washington and Washington DC.

Goals for the trip:

  1. Laugh every day: I hope to find the good in even the simplest things.
  2. Do something that scares me: I’m taking trying new things to a whole new level.
  3. Be silly: I’m sometimes way to serious and would like to step out of my comfort zone.
  4. Compassion through Service: Service is an important part of who I am and I hope to continue to spread the works of organizations I am apart of: One Eleuthera Foundation, Rotaract Club of Eleuthera and Rotary International.

You are all along with me on this journey so feel free to participate. I encourage you to share my posts, comment, ask questions and give advice.

First stop, Vermont!
